This is my losing entry in Found Sound Nation’s 2018 Broken Orchestra Remix Contest. The brief was to use exclusively the large sample library FSN made from Symphony for a Broken Orchestra’s (broken) instruments to create a new electronic piece. I used some of my custom software tools to generate the initial ideas from the sample library, then completed the piece in a DAW. The punning title comes from the first page of the novel The Sinking of the Odradek Stadium by Harry Mathews, for whom this strange little thing is a sort of sonic cairn.
