bearings_traits

These tracks were specially generated for people who tweeted #findmybearings to my Twitter handle in 2014. They were "composed" by bearings_traits, an application I built for writing "s_traits," my collaborative album with media artist Bill Seaman, which came out on 4 November 2014. Each track begins with a recording (chosen by the computer) of Bill reading a fragment of his text, then the computer pulls together music from a 110-hour library of sounds that Bill & I accumulated over several years.
